How We Began!
The Story of How Our Church Started! Our journey began in 2008, when two best friends, Alessia Agostinelli and Marie Baillarge, felt a stirring in their hearts to bring people together through God’s Word. They started by placing a simple poster on the bulletin board of the local library on Loyola Avenue, inviting couples who had recently left their church families to join a community Bible study. The response was humbling. Thirteen members joined, including Mike and Cat Kaufman, Julien Guidry and Ruby Griffin, Jason and Sam Delahoussaye, Carl and Elise Sanderson, Linda and Pedro Juarez, and Thalia Berkekley and Greg Jones. The group quickly outgrew the library’s small meeting room and transitioned to Alessia’s home, where for the next two years, they deepened their fellowship as the “Churchgoers' Revival Christian Community Group.” In April 2010, tragedy struck when a kitchen fire consumed Alessia’s home.
